These adorable Ornaments will be precious in your holiday fused glass artwork! There will be three Circular Ornaments and three Slender Ornaments in each order. The Slender Ornaments snip best with sharp wheeled nippers placed right in the center and snipped in the "Half in half" technique (explained in the Tips and Tutorial section of my website. The sizes may vary a little in each order and there will be two sizes of packages available.
These murrini were hand-pulled by me in my glass shop’s vitrigraph kiln, annealed and tested. See dime for size reference. They were photographed in the best lighting possible to show accurate colors (however all computer monitors render colors differently). I use Oceanside fusible glass unless specified in the listing. COE 96. All sizes are shown in the listing photo. I will have just a few packages of the large size.
Once received, the 2-inch long canes can be snipped as thick or thin as you’d like. If snipped into 3mm chips, you will get approximately 15 pieces per cane. A tack fuse is recommended for the Ornaments to remain "as-is" but round out quite pretty in a full fuse. The Circular Ornament is really great fully fused by itself into a ball, then fused on your designs for a beautifully rounded look. A test tiles are recommended to confirm results from temperatures in your kiln.
